Controversial Rumble streamer Sneako is in hot waters again after a clip of him singing a German song from the WWII era went viral on social media. For context, the song the streamer sang is titled Erika and is commonly associated with Nazi Germany.
Sneako is no stranger to controversy and has made highly contentious statements in the past. The streamer remains banned from YouTube since 2022 and was on Fousey's Kick stream recently when he burst into song on live camera. The clip has gone viral on social media after it was shared by X users like @FearedBuck, garnering over a million views within a few hours.
Here are some general reactions to the clip, with many calling him out for singing the song. Some even claimed that Sneako requires controversy to stay relevant in the online community:
"This is not funny bro…,"rwrote @suaryez
"Sneako when it comes to starting controversy to become relevant," said @TatumsAura
"Only way he can stay relevant is by triggering people im crying," claimed @JhonnyWhite69
"Is this supposed to be funny? I don't even care what the context is I'm not offended. It's not not funny. Definitely an entire audience of 10-14 year olds," stated @DukeHookEm
On the other hand, some have defended the Rumble streamer, claiming the song was just corny humor:
"It’s corny reddit humor," replied @Usefulwalnut to people criticizing the action
Rumble streamer Sneako garners backlash for singing WWII German song
Sneako was on Fousey's IRL stream and the two were with a few other people on a bus when the Rumble streamer decided to play the controversial song. Fousey, who was sitting at the back, could be heard expressing his disapproval:
"F**k you, no!"
Fousey even ducked behind his seat to supposedly distance himself from Sneako's actions. While the marching song is not inherently political, it was popularly used by the German army during WWII. As such, many consider it offensive.
The song has seen widespread usage in modern times for nazi jokes on the internet and was also included as a soundtrack for the 2021 video game Hell Let Loose. However, Sneako's past association with far-right commentator Nick Fuentes (who has been called a neo-Nazi) is what made the streamer's usage of the song problematic.
For those who are not aware, the streamer used to regularly associate himself with the Fuentes and the two were reportedly working together on Kanye West, or Ye's presidential campaign, a few years ago. The Rumble streamer also appears to support some of Nick Fuentes' talking points and even tried to get Kick streamer Adin Ross to engage in conversation with Nick back in the day.
On the other hand, Adin Ross now seems to have warmed up to Sneako's political viewpoints and praised the Rumble Streamer in one of his broadcasts a few days ago.
