Popular streamers TimTheTatman and Nadeshot were so impressed with the new Marvel Rivals skin for Invisible Woman that they both declared that "Overwatch is cooked" during their January 7, 2025 broadcasts. The two were queuing up in the new superhero shooter and watching a trailer featuring an upcoming cosmetic skin for the Invisible Woman, also known as Sue Storm, called Malice.
While Marvel Rivals will officially launch its first season on January 10, 2025, the title has already emerged as a strong competitor against Blizzard's Overwatch 2. With overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, Disney's new game has been dubbed the "Overwatch killer" by some players.
TimTheTatman seemingly had the same sentiment after watching the trailer for the Invisible Woman's cosmetic skin. He claimed that Overwatch would be "cooked" if Marvel Rivals continued to release such impressive skins:
"I got news for you all bro, they releasing skins like this, Overwatch is cooked my boy. That is some of the craziest!"
Nadeshot, the CEO of 100 Thieves, who was playing with TimTheTatman at the time, stated that Overwatch is already "cooked":
"I think it's already cooked, brother."
"I am a Sue main now": TimTheTatman and Nadeshot react to new Marvel Rivals skin for Invisible Woman
In recent weeks, Marvel Rivals has gained massive popularity, with many well-known Twitch streamers broadcasting the game on Twitch and YouTube. As FPS gamers, TimTheTatman and Nadeshot have naturally been playing it as well.
While the title has been out for some time, Season 1 is set to introduce a new map and a host of characters. Characters from the Fantastic 4 franchise, such as Elastic Man and The Thing, are headlining the season alongside Sue Storm. The season's theme is Eternal Night, and several characters, including the Invisible Woman, are set to receive paid skins, like Malice.
TimTheTatman was highly impressed with the Malice skin. After watching the trailer on social media, the streamer, who recently returned to Twitch after three years on YouTube, announced that he would now main Invisible Woman:
"Yeah, right buddy. There ain't no way they made her that, like that? Yeah, right buddy. I think I am a Sue main from tomorrow now that I think about it, high-key. You're trolling, right?"
Nadeshot was also impressed and commented positively about the skin:
"Jesus! Bro, that's two gallons of ice cream with the... oh my god!"
While Nadeshot and TimTheTatman believe Marvel Rivals has the potential to surpass Overwatch, Twitch streamer Shroud has a different perspective. In his analysis of NetEase Games' title, he described Blizzard's game as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time).
