YouTube livestreamer Timothy "TimTheTatman" seemed to be having trouble using the mouse and keyboard while playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, stating that he may switch the combination out for a controller instead. The 34-year-old tried the multiplayer mode of the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise at the Call of Duty: NEXT event.

A clip of the gameplay from his broadcast shows him being repeatedly shot down by his opponents, much to his disappointment. Thereafter, he said he would have to use a controller and implied having to utilize the aim assist offered in-game:

"Dude, I'm not trolling, chat. I'm not kidding you. Obviously, I'm not on my setup, but I think I have to play controller on this game."

"Mouse and key is tough": TimTheTatman talks about using a controller as an input method for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

TimTheTatman tried out Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at COD: NEXT, which took place on August 28, 2024. The event shed light on the new in-game mechanisms, maps, and modes. TimTheTatman's gameplay also showcased a new feature of the latest Call of Duty title, called Omnimovement.

This new system of in-game character movement allows players to engage with their opponents while being able to Sprint, Slide, and Dive in any direction. Thus, it could lead to players needing to ramp up their aiming and tracking abilities to deal with enemies.

However, Omnimovement seemed to be getting the best of TimTheTatman, who stated that using a mouse and keyboard may be "cooked" for this particular title:

"For the all the movement... Mouse and key is tough, dude. Mouse and key may be cooked."

With Black Ops 6 in beta early access from August 30, 2024, fans are excited about all the maps that the game will feature at the beginning. A total of eight maps will feature during the game's multiplayer beta run.
