Trainwreckstv, also known as Tyler Niknam, is a streamer who has become synonymous with controversy due to his unfiltered commentary, past suspensions, and gambling-centric content. Originally known for his gameplay and brash opinions, Trainwrecks has been banned multiple times, one of his earliest bans occurring in 2017 after a misogynistic rant against female streamers.

The streamer has been involved with Kick since 2022, where he has more liberty to express his opinions, considering its community guidelines are more forgiving than on Twitch. On November 9, 2024, Trainwrecks was banned on Twitch while streaming the video game Rust.

Twitch has a history of banning streamers without offering a clear explanation, as seen in cases like PewDiePie’s temporary ban. Although the ban was brief, Twitch provided no specific reason, leaving fans and creators puzzled.

On X, Trainwrecks posted Twitch's reason for the ban, which revolved around the category "User Spam". Streamers can be banned if they redirect viewership traffic to another live-streaming platform — in Train's case, it's the platform's competitor, Kick. According to the guidelines, redirection to another streaming service is a no-go:

"Examples of violative content include, but are not limited to... Redirecting users to a livestream on another service via links on your Twitch stream, such as in overlays, QR codes, broadcast titles, and go-live notifications."

Trainwrecks unbanned from Twitch less than two hours after his initial suspension

According to StreamerBans, Trainwrecks was unbanned from Twitch under two hours after he was originally suspended. The streamer's chat spammed him with news of his unban on Kick while he was gambling slots on Stake. In response, he said:

"Nice, there we go baby... shoutout to Twitch for being reasonable, thank you."

Initially, Trainwrecks felt the platform singled him out, likely due to its rivalry with Kick. Following the ban, he voiced his frustration on X, stating that this was the first time he'd ever faced a ban from Twitch in over five years.

"3 day ban during my rust event? I haven't been banned in over 5 years, a warning would've been great."

In other news, Destiny disclosed the video that led to his permanent ban from Twitch.
