Kick co-owner and streamer Tyler "Trainwreckstv” has claimed that the botting issue on Twitch is worse than it is on Kick. He said this in response to a viewer's criticism of the increasing number of view bots on Kick. During a livestream on May 30, a viewer commented:
“The botting on Kick sucks.”
In response, the Iranian-American content creator said:
“I’ll be honest with you. The botting on Twitch is worse. You just don’t notice it 'cause there are so many more streamers live.”
Trainwreckstv went on to claim that the reason bots are easier to notice on Kick is the low number of streamers on this platform. He stated:
“It’s less obvious on Twitch, because the people who are botting already have a lot of viewership, so it kind of blends in, right? Twitch view-botting is much worse. You just see the Kick botting because there are less streamers. ”
The problem of botting is prevalent on all platforms that have creators, be it, Twitch, Kick, X, or Instagram. However, less popular sites might make them easier to notice.
Trainwreckstv had spoken up about botting on Twitch earlier
On April 9, 2024, Tyler "Trainwreckstv'' himself had accused multiple Twitch streamers of engaging in viewership inflation using bots. The Kick ambassador had said:
"I know who you guys want me to say, but that's not the number one botter. The number one botter is on Twitch. Unless you're counting... unless you're counting the stupid a** streams that get botted to two million viewers."
On being asked to take names, Trainwreckstv had said:
"It's multiple people, actually... it's multiple people that are botting massively and making a lot of money from it."
It's also worth noting that Kick co-owner Adin Ross had also accused competitor streaming platform Twitch of view-botting popular personalities. In 2023, the Florida-based creator had said that "nobody cared" about the situation on Twitch, insisting that having 150,000 concurrent viewers was "not realistic."
