Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is currently hosting the second edition of his infamous event, Mafiathon. This subathon event has a two-fold objective: to raise money for children's education in Nigeria and to set a new world record for the most active Twitch subscribers. Kai broke the record held by Ironmouse on November 11, 2024, eleven days after the event started.

The streamer's family joined him in Los Angeles to celebrate this monumental achievement, and he went on a monologue. Kai claimed that the Stake-backed streaming platform Kick offered him a $60 million deal, which he rejected after serious thought.

On November 12, 2024, Kick streamer Trainwreckstv stated that Kai Cenat was not offered that specific amount and his deal involved something much lower.

Trainwrecks is involved with Kick as a key advisor, so he could have more insight into the deals the platform proposes. In Kai's case, he claimed that the platform offered him $22 million for a year:

"I saw it said sixty mil for a subathon, just for the record, I know the deal, and just for the sake of everyone, I kind of want to specify it... The deal was $22 million for a year. The first three months would be non-exclusive and then after that, the next three months would be exclusive... That was declined and a little more was asked for."

Essentially, the streamer states that Kai was offered a conditional, 12-month contract for $22 million that required him to stream exclusively on Kick for three months.

"I really love Kai": Trainwreckstv shows support for Kai Cenat

Before revealing details of Kai Cenat's actual deal, Trainwrecks expressed his admiration and support for the streamer. He noted that he doesn’t typically enjoy discussing such matters but felt it was important in this case to provide context and transparency around Cenat's agreement:

"I really want to ignore it because I really love Kai, I support him in so many ways, he's mentioned it on stream as well and I have his back always... I'm very happy it's Kai in the position he's in and not one of these brand-friendly, absolute pu**y motherf**kers."

Towards the end of his statement, Trainwrecks explained that it was important to reveal this information because it sets unnecessary expectations for other streamers trying to join Kick, and this would only cause harm to the platform:

"When people start throwing those numbers around, it really f**ks Kick over... because then you have other creators looking at that and saying, 'Well, if that's that, then I deserve this'... I really hate getting into that kind of sh*t, unfortunately [it] had to be clarified."

In other news, Kai Cenat appeared to encourage Jack Doherty to donate by suggesting a possible collaboration, which he later clarified would not take place.
