Controversial online influencers Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate had to end their livestream on Rumble early after the Romanian police pulled up to their house. This happened hours after they were released from custody following a detention.
For context, the Tate brothers were detained by the authorities on August 21 after their house was raided. A DIICOT statement reveals new allegations have been levied against Tristan and Andrew Tate that include human trafficking and sex crime charges concerning a minor.
After being released, the duo went live on their Rumble account but had to cut the stream short because the police had appeared on their property once more. Clips of the incident have gone viral on social media with many claiming he was swatted.
In the video, Tristan Tate can be heard saying:
"Police are here. No, the police are here. There's police pulling up on my house right now."
Tristan and Andrew Tate show CCTV footage of police car at their house interrupting their livestream
Andrew and Tristan Tate have been facing a lot of legal dealings with the Romanian authorities since December of 2022 when they were first arrested on charges of human trafficking by the DIICOT. They were in jail for months before being released to house arrest.
After much court deliberation, the duo were given further leniencies with time but that seemed to change after their mansion was raided once again on August 21, 2024, by the authorities after fresh allegations surfaced. On the same day, Andrew Tate and his brother were detained by the police, and videos of the influencer denying the charges went viral.
The brothers were then released on August 22 but shortly after they had started streaming on Rumble from their house, Tristan and Andrew Tate had to stop the broadcast as a police car pulled up to their house. They even uploaded a clip of the CCTV footage showing the cop car. The reason for the presence of the police car has not been ascertained with many viewers speculating whether it was a case of swatting.
