Taiwanese content creator Ray "rayasianboy", known to be a close friend of Twitch star Kai Cenat, has been banned from the platform. He was suspended on July 24, 2024. Attempting to open his Twitch page leads to a message stating that "the channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service."
The ban marks the first time Ray has been penalized for violating Twitch's guidelines since he created his channel in August 2020. The suspension was announced by @StreamerBans, an X account that automatically provides updates on bans received by those partnered with Amazon's streaming site.
No information from Ray or Twitch regarding the exact reason for the ban is available at the time of writing. Kai Cenat has also not addressed the suspension. Ray's streams on Twitch have gathered quite a fanbase for him since the start of 2024, and his channel currently has more than 896,000 followers.
How did Kai Cenat and Rayasianboy become friends?
Kai Cenat and Rayasianboy first met each other when the former visited Japan in July 2023. Ray introduced himself to Kai, stating that meeting the star was his "dream." The two immediately hit it off, dapping each other up and hugging. They have been inseparable since, with Kai visiting Taiwan — the country Ray is from — and the latter making multiple trips to the United States.
They collaborate on each other's broadcasts often and have also participated in several projects together, such as a Rush Hour-themed short film titled "Global Pursuit."
Despite their close friendship, Rayasianboy recently stated that he had to move out of Kai Cenat's house after Kai allegedly kicked him out for being "disrespectful". This development came after Ray interrupted the Twitch star's broadcast after drenching him during a water fight.
