With the year drawing to a close, Twitch has crowned popular VTuber Ironmouse as the Demon Queen of 2024 in its official Twitch Recap. Furthermore, the Amazon-owned streaming platform showcased her demon queen VTuber avatar on a massive billboard in New York City’s Times Square.

Twitch Recap 2024, like Spotify Wrapped, provides users a recap of their year, including personalized stats such as total hours watched and most-watched channels. As part of the promotion this year, the website played its "2024 According to Twitch Chat" video on a billboard in New York. The clip featuring Ironmouse has gone viral, garnering hundreds of thousands of views within hours.

In the post on X, Twitch praised the VTuber, referencing her charity work through her record-breaking subathon where she raised money for the Immune Deficiency Fund and wrote:

"Who needs a person of the year when you’ve got a Demon Queen of the Year?@ironmouse broke records, supported causes."

"ANIME WOMAN JUMPSCARE": Ironmouse reacts to her face on Times Square billboard for Twitch Recap

Ironmouse has had an incredible 2024, streaming for over 3,008 hours so far, with a few weeks still left in the year according to Twitch Tracker. Her biggest achievement was when she broke Kai Cenat last year's subscriber record in October, peaking at over 326,000 concurrent subs during her subathon.

That said, Kai Cenat reclaimed the top spot in November during his Mafiathon 2 marathon, surpassing Ironmouse’s record. The two have quite a friendly rivalry, with Kai Cenat revealing in an interview with Nardwuar that the VTuber inspired him to use his platform for good and donate 20% of Mafiathon 2 proceeds to a school he is helping build in Nigeria.

Naturally, Twitch Recap 2024 featured one of their most popular VTubers and Ironmouse was quite excited about the billboard as well. Reacting to the clip shared on X, the streamer claimed that it looked like a jumpscare from an anime woman:

"ANIME WOMAN JUMPSCARE", claimed the streamer.

Her community chimed in and flooded her post with congratulatory messages.

"THE BEST!! Congrats Mouse," said fellow VTuber @milkymew_.

Others shared GIFs and memes featuring Ironmouse.

She was not the only streamer to be featured on the Times Square billboard, with Twitch also praising Kai Cenat as 'Kai of the Year.'
