Twitch and Kick streamer Josh "YourRAGE" was swatted live on stream earlier today (August 8, 2024). Swatting is a recurring issue that many creators have faced in the past. For those unfamiliar, it essentially involves someone reporting a false alarm against an individual to the police.
While it may appear seemingly harmless, this punishable offense requires the police's resources as well as wastes the victim's time - in this case, it was the Twitch streamer. YourRAGE was forced to end the stream early after police arrived at his house and even detained him there. The streamer shared a CCTV image of the incident on his X account:
"Can a ni**a just react to videos & play video games in peace????? I’m sorry I had to end. I’ll be back tomorrow."
"I don't know what's going on" - YourRAGE reacts to being swatted while livestreaming
Popular Twitch and Kick streamer YourRAGE was swatted live on stream earlier today. The incident occurred on Kick, approximately three hours and 24 minutes into his latest stream. At that moment, he was seen putting down his microphone and leaving the room.
While he was outside his room, his streaming camera (which was still on and livestreaming) captured police officers walking down the corridor and entering his room, confirming that he was indeed swatted.
He did return a few minutes later and explained the situation to his fans by stating:
"Yo, I ain't gonna lie, but I don't know what's going on outside. The dogs were barking crazy. I opened the courtyard door. My whole courtyard was blue. It's blue lights and sh*t. I said, 'GG.' I opened the door, and I heard someone on a megaphone, but I couldn't hear what they were saying."
He also revealed that he had to force his dogs to come back into his house since there were a bunch of police officers standing outside his courtyard:
"So I let the dogs in, they are not trying to come in and I'm like, 'Get the f**k in the house 'cause it's the police."
YourRAGE wasn’t the only FaZe Clan member to face a similar incident recently. Another member, FaZe Rani "Stable Ronaldo," was also swatted during a live stream on April 9, 2024. Fortunately, in both instances, no one was harmed.
