On November 10, 2024, a video of Twitch streamer Austin "AustinShow" calling John "Tectone" a "conservative grifter" surfaced on social media. A 34-second clip from AustinShow's recent collaboration with Vincent "Cyr" and his girlfriend PeachJars was posted on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit. In it, the Just Chatting streamer claimed there was "nothing righter" than Tectone.
When Cyr inquired whether AustinShow was referring to the One True King (OTK) member, the latter responded:
"There is nothing righter than that guy. (Cyr responds, 'Is it OTK member Tectone?') Oh, yeah! OTK member, or you mean conservative grifter Tectone? Conservative Twitter commentator Tectone? (PeachJars chimes in, 'Guys, it's okay to be right.') Yeah, I know. Clearly! Clearly, it is. What profound inspiration that he tweeted was so nice, it was so, you know, it was so great."
What has Tectone recently tweeted about? AustinShow calls the Twitch streamer a "conservative Twitter commentator"
Tectone is a well-known figure in the livestreaming and content creation communities, best known for his gacha games and Just Chatting content. He joined the Texas-based streamer collective OTK in 2021 and is still a key member of the organization.
Over the past few days, the 30-year-old has expressed his thoughts on the 2024 US Presidential Elections. On November 6, 2024, he tweeted the following regarding the "one thing" that made this year's elections "perfectly clear":
"1 thing this election makes perfectly clear. People in the real world don't give a f**k about the woke issues that exist in the internet land. They care about what's going to help them survive. Not what fat blue hair dumbf**ks write in a BuzzFeed article triggered them today," wrote the Twitch streamer on November 6, 2024.
The next day (November 7, 2024), the content creator referred to netizens as "pathetic" for the following reasons:
"Don't say this because you're a part of that. Don't say this because he said that. Don't say this because he's friends with him and he thinks that. Don't say this if you want to collab with her. Don't say anything or you'll alienate your audience. Y'all are pathetic good lord," wrote Tectone on November 7, 2024.
Most recently, the Twitch streamer shared his thoughts on why young men are becoming "radicalized right-wingers":
"Every day that passes there are more people expecting others to be immediately accepting of any and everything they decide to change about societal norms. If immediate acceptance is not met with open arms you are labeled as a racist, Nazi, -phobe, piece of s**t scumf**k human being."
He added:
"People need to understand that not everyone will be able to accept everything and attempting to cancel and ruin the lives of anyone that opposes you 1% is the reason more people are starting to get sick of woke agendas being pushed. People like to say lately more and more young men are moving towards becoming radicalized right-wingers -this is the important part- They themselves didn't move to be further right, they were pushed," wrote the content creator in a tweet dated November 8, 2024.
As of this writing, Tectone has not responded to AustinShow's recent comments about him.
