Last month (August 26, 2024), popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber Dough "Censor" revealed that he was going to break the world record for most pull-ups in 24 hours. Despite the daunting nature of the task, the streamer persevered and reached his goal today (September 8, 2024), completing a whopping 9,200 pull-ups in the process. Moreover, since the stream will continue for a few more hours, the number can only go up from here.

For those unaware, the previous record was set by Japan's Kenta Adachi earlier this year (February 22-23), who managed 8,940. Censor has already dashed past that figure and is ahead by over 200 pull-ups.

Censor's incredible achievement is also marked by a philanthropic deed. All proceeds from his ongoing 24-hour livestream will be donated to Project Purple, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting patients, raising awareness, and educating the world about pancreatic cancer.

At the time of writing, the Twitch streamer is over 19 hours into his stream and has raised around $8,597. Since the stream is still live, people still have a chance to donate and the number is expected to go up.
