A clip of Twitch streamer NorthernLion joking about Asmongold's apology for the recent controversy surrounding his remarks on Palestine has gone viral on social media. It has gained significant traction on the streamer-related subreddit r/LivestreamFail, with hundreds of users commenting on the clip.

For context, Asmongold recently took to Reddit to explain why he apologized for his comments about Palestine, which reportedly got his zackrawrr account banned on Twitch. However, many on social media claimed his comments on the platform indicated that he would continue creating the same type of content he seemingly promised to avoid in his other apology posted on YouTube.

During a recent stream, NorthernLion made fun of Asmongold for seemingly backtracking on his promises. He joked about getting food poisoning from eating on the toilet and said:

"What about eating on the toilet? Yeah, I am going to cut that sh*t out. I don't know if that's how I got the norovirus but it couldn't have helped, it's time to grow up. This is my Asmongold apology video."

In a post on his official subreddit titled "Why Apologize?", the streamer addressed the "hostile" vibe of his recent broadcasts.

"My f**king dad told me over a year ago I was getting too harsh on my stream and I ignored him, same with a lot of real life friends. I think I've just been increasingly more hostile and negative that brings a bad vibe to the stream."

However, he also said he was not going to change his content much:

"The vibes and feel of the stream recently has been a lot more tense and a lot of that is my fault. If you think that means my first stream back is going to be playing Dustborn and promoting Sweet Baby, I think you'll be very disappointed. I'm not changing anything other than trying to be more positive and less mean-spirited."

NorthernLion made fun of the seemingly conflicting statements. After prefacing that he was going to do an Asmongold-styled apology, he said he would stop eating his oats on the toilet, as it might be the reason he was getting sick every few months:

"I am 35-years-old, I can't keep eating my overnight oats on the toilet every morning getting sick once every five months. (laughs)"

Referring to the OTK co-founder's Reddit post, NorthernLion joked that he would still eat on the toilet as that is what his fans want.

"And then in the replies, 'I might still eat the overnight oats on the toilet again. Because I know that's why people like me, so, okay. Don't worry, nothing's changing.'"

He then said he was just joking and wished the World of Warcraft star the best:

"I am joking. I wish him the best in his journey. We are all on one, we are all on one. Some of us are on more than the other, but that's our journey."
