League of Legends veteran and Twitch streamer Tyler "Tyler1" recently gave props to his fellow streamer Ludwig Ahgren for attaining Platinum status in the game. In 2022, the two played as teammates in the Ultimate Crown event against a team that included YouTube megastar MrBeast. After the event, Tyler expressed that he was utterly disappointed in Ludwig, claiming that the latter "would literally lose to bots."
Fast forward to 2024, Tyler1 says he's impressed with Ludwig's efforts, especially considering the latter achieved Platinum 4 on the last day of the game's fourteenth season. For context, League of Legends' fifteenth season will commence on January 9, 2025, introducing a Noxus-themed map, new champions, and significant gameplay updates.
In a January 8 (2025) livestream, Tyler commended Ludwig and appreciated his journey:
"If you guys remember that giga dip-sh*t, F-word random, Ludwig... It's actually impressive what he did. His climb was impressive... he's much better than I thought he was."
"He went from Iron 1 to Platinum 4": Tyler1 shows his appreciation for Ludwig after he achieved Platinum in League of Legends
Although hesitant to compliment Ludwig, Tyler still gave credit where it was due. To reinforce Ludwig's impressive feat, the streamer went on op.gg, a website that allows League players to review statistics.
Tyler1 noted that Ahgren's account "Air Coots" won 38 out of 60 games in the last week of the season, and stated that this was "not bad" considering that Ludwig was Silver 2 only three days prior to his Platinum 4 achievement:
"In five days he went from Silver 2 to Platinum 4... He won 38 out of 60 games last week of the season, no, this is not boosted guys... I watched his last game, he's actually not bad, all things considered."
In September 2024 at TwitchCon San Diego, Ludwig pranked Tyler1 by disguising himself as a fan asking for a photo. When Ludwig mentioned League of Legends, an irate Tyler1 issued him a challenge: reach Platinum 4 by the end of the fourteenth season. In January 2025, that is exactly what Ludwig did.
Tyler then looked at Ludwig's achievement from a broader perspective, considering his progress on the game since their encounter at TwitchCon in 2024:
"He went from Iron 1 to Platinum 4 in half a split. I'm not going to lie he did it the right way as well, he found a champion that was for him, and he only played this character, that is exactly what you need to do."
In the end, Tyler applauded while addressing Ludwig, giving him his props:
"Ludwig, (Claps) good job. That is impressive, my props to you bro. It is what it is, I hate this slimeball, he did it."
In other news, Tyler1 challenged Sodapoppin to a duel in World of Warcraft to compete for the title of OnlyFangs guild leader.
