YouTube star Rachell "Valkyrae" has spoken about her experience at TwitchCon 2024 in San Diego. During a livestream on September 25, 2024, the Los Angeles-based content creator said she "felt so bad" that her fans had to wait an hour to meet her at the streamer convention. She then commented on Kick streamers' contentious actions at the event, claiming that one of them was "clout farming" because "that's what Kick streamers do".
Many content creators associated with the Stake-backed platform have found themselves in hot water after allegations against them surfaced. For instance, Kick streamer DBR666 was accused of harassing Nick "Nmplol," Wake Wilder, and Felix "xQc." Meanwhile, during the first day if TwitchCon 2024, Kick streamer Turbski1 pushed another content creator onto a moving train.
Elaborating on what she witnessed at the convention, Valkyrae said:
"Every single person that I met was... minus one Kick streamer. There was one Kick streamer that was, like, obviously, clout farming because, you know, he's a Kick streamer. That's what they do."
Moments later, the co-owner of 100 Thieves talked about watching videos of Kick streamers harassing people at TwitchCon 2024:
"Oh, god, I've seen some clips of some of the crazy things some streamers were doing to other streamers because, you know, 'That's what you've got to do to make it nowadays. You got to be an absolute a**hole on the internet to get noticed.' I, actually, don't think it works anymore. I'm not going to lie."
Claiming that people are "not into the content" that Kick streamers produce, Valkyrae added:
"I don't think people are into that kind of content anymore. I don't think it works. You just look like an a**hole. So yeah, it is very pathetic."
Valkyrae clarifies she was not talking about IShowSpeed while discussing TwitchCon 2024 experience
After commenting on Kick streamers' controversial behavior at TwitchCon 2024, Valkyrae's attention was drawn to her live audience. Some fans actually believed that she was talking about Darren "IShowSpeed."
In response, the 32-year-old clarified that she wasn't referring to the YouTube sensation:
"No, no, no, I like IShowSpeed! I'm not going to lie. I'm a fan of Speed. I feel like he's actually a good egg. I think he's a good egg, bro. He's also been very vocal about Palestinian freedom, which I thought was very cool as well. No, no, no, I was not talking about..."

Valkyrae is not the only YouTube streamer who has expressed discontent with Kick streamers at TwitchCon 2024. During a livestream with Jason "Jasontheween," Ludwig stated that "there's a bunch of s**t streamers" on Kick, adding that the livestreaming platform "is poison."
