Valkyrae slams social media posts for inciting hate by using out-of-context clips about her sexual experiences

YouTube streamer Rachell "Valkyrae" took to X to call out posts that have been using out-of-context clips from her broadcasts to justify untrue or misleading captions. In her post, she pointed out an example that falsely captioned a clip of her talking about her time at an all-female hot spring in Japan with her friends as a sexually inappropriate encounter instead.

In the post, which was made to X on November 30, 2024, Valkyrae wrote:

"Not really sure how to deal with out of context clips with insane titles. Here’s an example of when I was sharing an experience going to an all female onsen in Japan with friends. I get people are just trying to make a few bucks with the logo and stuff but the hate I’ve received because of lies has been insane"

Valkyrae is a gaming content creator on YouTube, popularly known for being a co-founder of the gaming organization 100 Thieves. She is one of the biggest female streamers on the platform, with over 4.08 million followers.

In her post, she brought attention to certain posts being made regarding her on X that utilized certain portions of her broadcasts to spin false narratives. While discussing the issue, she revealed that a clip of her talking about a non-consensual sexual experience had also been taken out of context similarly, leading to much discomfort for her.

She wrote:

"Some of these clips are from when I shared a non consensual sexual experience and out of context, I’m perceived as a wh**e. Regardless, sharing sexual experiences whether they are consensual or not is not a crime, I did in hopes some people would find comfort in not feeling alone in a similar experience but I did not expect the consequences of what would happen on this platform if I did."

Valkyrae recently made a trip to the Phillippines, following which she held a comeback stream on November 25, 2024. However, the travel experience does not seem have to gone as well as she may have expected, as revealed by her. Stating that she was "in the depths of hell," she recounted the experience while conversing with fellow content creators Thomas "Sykkuno" and Sydney "Sydeon" while playing Valorant.
