IShowSpeed has had numerous fan interactions while on his Southeast Asia tour, and on multiple occasions, the streamer has been overwhelmed by the sheer number of fans he's had to deal with, following him from location to location. Interactions with his supporters have gone viral, like when a fan called him the n-word while he was riding past on a scooter in The Philippines.
Most recently, the streamer visited Vietnam where he tasted traditional cuisine, dressed up in Vietnamese clothing, and interacted with the locals, many of whom were fans of the streamer. Towards the end of the stream, while he was wrapping up after dinner, Speed had an interesting interaction with a fan, who presented him with some deodorant as a gift:
A Vietnamese fan pulled out a few gifts for Speed from a plastic bag, including a can of Fanta. Apart from this, in the video above, he presented the streamer with some deodorant and said:
"You know why? ('Why?', asked Speed) Because you f**king stink".
Speed was visibly annoyed by this comment, and on seeing his expression the fan commented:
"I'm joking".
After this Speed picked up a green apple, a sign to Slipz, his cameraman, to end the stream.
Looking back at fans reacting to IShowSpeed's odor
Speed's odor problems have made multiple appearances on his stream, some of them coming from fan interactions. On one occasion during a visit to a Waffle House, a female employee hugged him but then walked away holding her nose, implying he smelled bad.
This moment quickly went viral. In response, IShowSpeed playfully denied the accusations of being stinky, going back to the restaurant to address the situation. After this, fans would regularly walk up to Speed in public and state that he smelled bad.
Speed's high-energy streams often involve physical antics, like jumping over cars and fighting martial artists, often leaving him sweaty and disheveled. Fans love his chaotic style, and this "smelly" incident just added to the persona he’s cultivated—one of unpredictability and humor.
IShowSpeed recently set a new personal record by reaching over 600,000 concurrent viewers during a livestream in Thailand. This milestone highlights his growing popularity, especially, during his Southeast Asia tour, and the streamer is well on track to reach 30 million subscribers during the event.
