Hollywood screenwriter C. Jay Cox is reportedly suing controversial Kick streamer Vitaly Zdorovetskiy. For context, Cox made headlines on November 16, 2024, when he appeared on Vitaly's controversial predator-hunting livestream series - Catching A Predator. The 62-year-old was accused of inappropriate behavior toward a minor.
On November 30, 2024, Daniel "Keemstar's" Drama Alert reported on X that the screenwriter is allegedly suing the internet prankster:
"Vitaly sued by Hollywood Screenwriter C. Jay Cox because Vitaly's team allegedly lied about the age, and the writer thought he was meeting up with an adult."
Cox issued a statement on Instagram on the same day, stating that he was a "victim of a brutal scam that targeted him as an older gay man in the entertainment industry." Claiming that the streamer's "gang" wrongfully accused victims, he wrote:
"I was recently the victim of a brutal scam that targeted me as an older gay man in the entertainment industry. This gang wrongfully accuses their victims of pedophilia by filming them with men in their 20s and then after-the-fact claiming the men are minors."
Cox said he did not engage in "illegal behavior of any kind" and that his encounter with the individual was "consensual":
"While the outcome of the scam is embarrassing, it was a consensual encounter between two adults, and there was no illegal behavior of any kind – at least not for me. I have the receipts to back up my narrative, with screenshots of our conversation including his photo, as well as his social media posts showing various adult-aged birthdays."
Vitaly is currently banned from Kick following a controversy on his predator-hunting livestream
On November 28, 2024, reports surfaced on social media, suggesting that Vitaly had been banned from Kick. The situation sparked speculation among netizens, with some believing that the America-based Russian personality was suspended because an individual suspected of being a "predator" exposed himself live on the broadcast.

Readers should note that this message typically appears when Kick bans a streamer. The same 404 error message appeared when Yousef "Fousey" was banned in November after stating that he intended to "shoot himself" on a livestream.
