VTuber Camila found herself in a tricky situation on a November 6 stream, thanks to her iPhone. Prior to the incident, the streamer took a short break after an incident involving a stalker. She explained the incident, followed by the chat sharing supportive messages. As the Twitch stream became more lighthearted, Apple's digital assistant Siri began revealing her current location.
While emphasizing the importance of privacy and staying safe from potential stalkers, an especially pressing issue for VTubers, Camila's phone started to read her current address out loud:
"I encourage any other streamer and VTuber to please invest in that kind of stuff, if you have the money it's very worth it.. um.. ('Your address is...', started Siri) AHHHH!"
The streamer shrieked in panic and confusion:
"Why did my iPhone just try to read out my location? What the f**k?... Oh my God. What the f**k? Why did you do that, phone?!"
What incident caused VTuber Camila to take a break from streaming?
Camila explained that the incident started while she was streaming and heard a knock on her window:
"I heard a knock on my window, so I jumped out of my seat."
Since her home security system detected nothing, the streamer assumed it was a kid playing around. The next day, she was proven otherwise.
While streaming, Camila heard a loud bang, and after checking her security cameras, she found a man standing outside her house with a sledgehammer:
"He had a sledgehammer! It didn't look like he had any weapons, but he was trying to come in with a sledgehammer... he was banging on the garage with it... I pressed the panic button and my mom and I were hiding."
Thanks to the panic button, the police arrived at the scene quickly. They arrested the perpetrator and secured the household, much to the streamer's relief.
The VTuber community recently criticized Kai Cenat after he praised Ironmouse for breaking the Twitch subscriber record but compared her to AI in the process.
