VTuber Kirsche, who boasts around 40K followers on Twitch, took to her X account to call out Darren "IShowSpeed." Speed was recently invited to the Streamer Awards 2024 (December 7, 2024), where he bagged three trophies, including the Streamer of the Year award. Kirsche, however, accused the streamer of copyright-claiming smaller creators who react to his videos.
The VTuber reposted The Streamer Awards' X post congratulating IShowSpeed on winning the Streamer of the Year award captioning it:
"Imagine winning streamer of the year when you copyright claim smaller creators' videos for reacting to 30s of your content."
A couple of users responded to the post, stating that streamers/content creators often use AI detection for their content on YouTube, and an appeal would remove the copyright claims. Kirsche, however, replied that appealing hasn't helped her.
She also mentioned reacting to fellow streamer Kai Cenat's content without facing similar issues:
"I did appeal it. Twice. And it got rejected. My only option is to get a lawyer involved at this point and it's not worth it. I've reacted to Kai's content and never even gotten a claim, much less a strike. I will be rightfully salty when larger content creators treat smaller ones like sh*t."
Not the first time IShowSpeed has faced similar allegations
IShowSpeed has faced accusations of copyright striking smaller creators in the past. In mid-2023, YouTuber Kelly "The Act Man" shared several updates, including a video specifically calling out the Ohio-born creator for this behavior. In a post, he wrote:
"This kid is a f*cking scumbag. Lies about False Copyright claiming channels with 32k subs when he has 16 million subs."
On July 2, 2024, The Act Man uploaded an hour-long video accusing IShowSpeed and Kick streamer Adin Ross of filing multiple copyright claims against smaller creators. The video has garnered over two million views.

It’s possible that these claims were made by IShowSpeed's team or agency, though there is no confirmation regarding the exact source. The streamer has yet to respond to the allegations.
