Kai Cenat and Darren "IShowSpeed" warned stream snipers before starting their Fortnite marathon on December 27, 2024. The duo had announced the marathon stream earlier this week. The broadcast, which started at 4 pm ET, will only end after the streamers finish first in one of their ranked matchups.

Like in their previous gaming streams, Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed dressed up in cosplay for the Fortnite marathon, decorating their streaming setups to fit the game's theme.

Before starting their first match, the duo had a warning for stream snipers. Kai Cenat even read out a supposed official message from an Epic Games associate that asked the streamers to report stream snipers:

"Hi team, reminder to ask Kai and Speed to report stream snipers in game, so I can use those reports to push the Epic security to go after anyone who is stream sniping them."

IShowSpeed has personal with stream snipers disrupting his broadcasts. Earlier this month, after Epic Games launched the Fortnite OG Season 1, the streamer threw his headset in rage after repeatedly getting killed by snipers. After Kai had read out the message, IShowSpeed explained that they had Epic Games looking out for them:

"So don't stream snipe! Yo chat, we've got Epic Games in our chat. They're watching us. Don't do that, bro."

To ensure that things were clear, Kai Cenat added:

"Don't f**k with us."

"I told you, you'd get banned!": IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat react after a stream sniper they reported was supposedly penalized by Fortnite

Stream sniping has become a major problem for most popular content creators who play online competitive games, which is why many prefer to stream with a delay. In battle royale games, where knowing the other player's position is key to winning, stream sniping can be very detrimental to the streaming experience.

Despite Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed warning people about trying to stream snipe during their Fortnite marathon, many seemingly did not heed their call. After getting griefed at the 51-minute mark of their stream, an in-game message popped up on Darren's stream, informing him that action had been taken against a player he had reported.

IShowSpeed took this opportunity to reiterate that accounts would get banned if they tried to stream snipe and read out the message:

"Look, look, I told you you'd get banned. Look at my screen, chat. 'Suspect apprehended. A player you reported has had action taken against him for negative behavior. Thanks for keeping Fortnite a fun and friendly community.' You will get banned, I keep telling you all. Stop playing, stop stream sniping."

Kai Cenat also encouraged IShowSpeed to give a speech about stream sniping:

"Now what b**ch! Now what? Talk that sh*t Speed."

Readers should note that stream snipers have continued to disrupt the Fortnite marathon, with clips of the two streamers getting irritated going viral on social media.
