Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold, also known as Zack or zackrawrr, has reportedly been banned for 14 days according to esports journalist Rod "Slasher". The temporary suspension comes almost a day after the streamer made some controversial remarks about Palestinian culture and the conflict in Gaza.
In a post from on X on October 15, Slasher cites sources while claiming the ban duration:
"Asmongold has been suspended from Twitch from (sic) 14 days according to sources with knowledge of the situation," wrote Slasher on X.
Twitch is known for not publicly disclosing the reason for suspensions and Asmongold has yet to speak about it. However, his secondary channel zackrawrr was indeed banned on October 15 a day after clips from the October 14 livestream went viral where the streamer called Palestinian culture inferior and made comments about not caring for genocide.
Read on to know exactly what Asmongold said in the controversial livestream that led up to the Twitch ban on his alternate channel. Readers should note that as per Twitch guidelines, the streamer will not be able to go live on his other channel till the suspension on zackrawrr is lifted.

In an October 14 stream on zackrawrr, Asmongold came across community posts about the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict in Gaza and started giving his opinion on the matter. The content creator first stated that he did not care about any potential genocide happening in the region because "they are terrible people":
"They have genocide baked into sharia law right now, so no, I am not going to cry a f**king river when people who have genocide that's baked into their laws are getting genocided. They are terrible people. It's not even a question. It's crazy that people don't see it that way. They'd be doing the same thing."
When a viewer confronted the Twitch streamer about the number of deaths in the conflict, Asmongold retorted:
"How much did they kill? As many as they can. They are not able to as many people as Israel because they don't have as many bombs and as many weapons. But if they did, they'd be doing the same thing. That's it."
The streamer further claimed that Palestinian culture is inferior to Western values:
"These people are not your allies, they are not the same as us. They come from an inferior culture that is horrible. It kills people for their identity and it is directly antithetical to everything Western values stand for and it is an inferior culture, always."
Asmongold got a lot of backlash online after the clip of his statements about Palestine went viral. He even hopped on political Twitch streamer HasanAbi's stream to debate the issue and later addressed the situation in a post on X.
His statements on HasanAbi's channel were milder in comparison and while the real reason for the Twitch ban has not been disclosed, most viewers have attributed his words on the zackrawrr channel about Palestinian culture to be the primary reason for the supposed 14-day suspension.
