South Korea has reportedly issued a travel restriction against influencer and streamer Johnny Somali, as he reportedly faces several felony charges, including disturbing peace, assault, trespassing, and potential drug-related offenses. If found guilty, he could allegedly receive a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
Ismael became infamous for livestreaming incidents that included vandalism in a grocery store, harassment of women on public transport, and repeated desecration of a WWII “Comfort Women” memorial, a highly sensitive site in South Korea. Recently, a South Korean YouTuber with a background in Special Forces appeared to physically confront him.
Well-known YouTuber and streamer Charlie "MoistCr1TiKaL", who often comments on streamer news, spoke on the situation and stated that the locals dislike Johnny Somali:
