Kick streamer and YouTuber Steven "Destiny" has called out Twitch political commentator Hasan "HasanAbi." On October 16, 2024, Destiny posted a 23-second video featuring HasanAbi, in which the Turkish-American personality detailed a conversation with his associate, who apparently said he is "not white in the eyes of a lot of people":
"...Talking about this s**t, and I know it's one of those moments where FD Signifier says always. I texted him this morning. It's one of those moments where FD Siginifer's like, 'Remember, you're not white in the eyes of a lot of people.' You know? And it's a somber reminder of that reality. There are levels to the whiteness."
In response to these claims, Destiny posted:
"LMAO bro, people don't make fun of you because you're not white, people make fun of you because of how white you are, LOL."
In a follow-up post, the Nebraska native went off at HasanAbi, accusing the content creator's online community of engaging in "racially motivated attacks" against him:
"Actually, you know what, f**k this subhuman piece of s**t. At first, it was kind of a funny clip, because he desperately wants to be non-white so f**king badly, claiming 'cultural Muslim' etc... whenever it's convenient, but his community has engaged in more racially motivated attacks against me with the Gusano s**t than literally every single other community on the internet, combined."
Destiny went on to refer to HasanAbi as a "nepo-baby," adding:
"The idea that this rich, white nepo-baby would try and cry about being discriminated against from his $4m Hollywood mansion is f**king insane, what a degenerate loser."
When HasanAbi accused Destiny of being Islamophobic
Earlier this year, in January 2024, HasanAbi and Destiny got embroiled in a major feud after the Twitch streamer interviewed a Houti Pirate on his livestream. Destiny expressed his discontent with the move, calling the 33-year-old a "cringe loser."
HasanAbi responded by accusing Destiny of Islamophobia during a broadcast on January 18, 2024:
"If Destiny wanted, you know, to present himself a little bit better, I assume he wouldn't personally say vicious things time and time again. But, I don't think that there's any way I can convince you that he is Islamophobic, for example. Okay?"
Destiny and HasanAbi met for the first time at Politicon 2018, but their friendship began deteriorating from 2019 onwards when the former accused the latter of spreading misinformation about Kamala Harris. Many believe this was the catalyst for the political commentators' long-running feud.
