YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" Jason Watkins Jr.'s attempt at breaking a world record has come to an end. For those unaware, the content creator announced on October 7, 2024, that he would attempt to break the world record for the most backflips done within 24 hours. As of this writing, the record is held by Austrian personality Nico Scheicher.

Earlier today (October 9, 2024), with five hours and 46 minutes left for the challenge, IShowSpeed announced to the community that he would be unable to continue because he could no longer jump.

Stating that he was "mistaken while asleep," the Ohio native remarked:

"But, I just came to a realization, I was mistaken while I was asleep. Like, I can't move anymore. There's nothing I can do about that. I just can't move anymore. Like, chat, even if I did, the max that I can do is maybe 40 (backflips more), then my legs get dead again."

IShowSpeed asserted that his "legs were dead," adding that he was "being mature" about the situation:

"Like, my legs are dead. I'm not giving up. I'm just being mature. This is reality. I f**ked up. I'm sorry, y'all. I'll be back. I'm really sorry. I talked out of my a**."

IShowSpeed assures the community that he will be back within a "month or two" to attempt the world record for most backflips in 24 hours once again

At the seven-hour-four-minute mark of the livestream, IShowSpeed assured the online community that he would try to break the world record for most backflips in 24 hours again within a "month or two." He elaborated:

"I will be back to beat this world record. Just give me a month or two. Give me a month or two. I'm sorry, y'all. I'm sorry."

A few moments later, the YouTube streamer attempted one more backflip. But he was unable to do so. The livestream ended with IShowSpeed completing 660 backflips out of the 1,008 required to break the world record.

In other news, controversial internet personality Andrew Tate lauded IShowSpeed for attempting to break the world record. In a post on X, the "Top G" stated that the streamer was "finally doing something cool," adding that "it takes dedication and hard work" to break a world record. Furthermore, Andrew Tate rallied netizens to support IShowSpeed.
