Twitch star Kai Cenat has gone viral on social media following the recent controversy. On November 3, 2024, videos from the streamer's ongoing Mafiathon 2 subathon surfaced on social media platforms, showcasing the 22-year-old getting swatted. In a one-minute clip posted on X, a helicopter was seen hovering over his house.

Commenting on the situation, the New Yorker exclaimed:

"Production, can y'all show the helicopter in the sky? Can anybody in the production show the helicopter in the sky?! Y'all got a helicopter surrounding my house, bro! I don't know, but y'all can just keep it on this one. Oh, my gosh! Yes, look! Oh, my gosh! Helicopter... I'm getting swatted. We're getting swatted. We're getting swatted!"

Approximately half an hour later, Kai Cenat's official Twitch channel got banned. The content creator's sixth suspension was brief, as his account was reinstated after six minutes and 35 seconds.

Kai Cenat addresses the community after getting swatted during his ongoing Mafiathon 2 subathon

Kai Cenat addressed the community after resolving the swatting issue and getting unbanned from Twitch after six minutes. According to the two-time Streamer of the Year winner, someone called the police and reported somebody "shot their brother and killed them" and then "killed themselves."

He elaborated:

"Okay, let me tell y'all what happened. So, one of your dumba** n****s thought it was funny. Y'all called the boys... y'all called the cops... okay? And told them on the phone, and said, 'Someone in the house shot their brother, killed them, and then shot and killed themselves.'"

Furthermore, Cenat claimed that "some weird" things were going on in his neighborhood:

"Knowing that it's already some weird s**t going on in this neighborhood because, you know, my neighborhood is... you got a crib over there... and you know what they found? So, some of y'all internet n****s do that s**t with all the real s**t... you know what I'm saying?"

Later that day, the New Yorker took to X to announce that he had amassed over 140,000 Twitch subscribers after getting swatted and temporarily banned from the Amazon-owned livestreaming platform.

In other news, on November 1, 2024, Kai Cenat garnered praise from the online community after announcing that he would donate 20% of the Mafiathon 2 subathon revenue to help build schools in Nigeria.
