Drama Alert host Daniel "Keemstar" has made bold claims about controversial internet personality Mr Based, who also goes by "MrBasedNYC." For those unaware, Mr Based is a contentious internet personality, best known for his IRL streams on Kick.
The content creator made headlines on August 20, 2024, after he allegedly assaulted YouTuber Alex Novell, who was making a documentary on him. Novell was reportedly investigating him for alleged murder.
On August 21, 2024, Keemstar took to X to claim that Mr Based said he was "jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge" because of him. Wondering what he was supposed to do in this situation, the Lolcow Live podcast host tweeted:
"MrBased says he's jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge because of me. What am I supposed to do? Just ignore that this criminal is committing crimes? Physical assault, sexual assault, alleged murder! Not to mention manipulating and taking advantage of an autistic boy, Josh Block."

Keemstar also shared a screenshot of an alleged private conversation in which Mr Based claimed to be on his way to the Brooklyn Bridge:
"I can't take this anymore, Twiggy. I'm headed to the Brooklyn Bridge. Jumping! Keemstar made life unlivable; I'm not running and hiding forever! F**k this s**t! Be well, bro. Thanks for trying to help. Don't tell a soul!"
Keemstar says Mr Based is "plotting to leave the country" after claiming he was "jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge" because of him
Later that day (August 21, 2024), Keemstar posted an update on X, claiming that Mr Based was "plotting to leave the country." According to the 42-year-old, the Kick streamer sent his associates to his apartment to "gather certain items" to avoid being discovered by the New York City Police Department (NYPD):
"MrBased is currently plotting to leave the country. He sent his associates back to his apt to gather certain items to avoid NYPD detection. MrBased has convinced Joshua Block aka WorldOfTshirt to flee the country as well according to our man on the inside."
A few moments later, Keemstar posted a follow-up tweet, writing:
"Intercept, in route."
This is not the first time Mr Based has garnered attention on social media for controversial reasons. On June 24, 2024, the content creator's official Kick channel was taken down after he forced himself on a woman live on stream. He once again made headlines after he and River "SlightlyHomeless" assaulted Kick streamer Carl "Carldo."
