"Where was this loud voice when Valkyrae won?" - xQc calls out Asmongold for his contentious opinions on Rivers winning Streamer of the Year award

Twitch and Kick star Felix "xQc" has commented on Zack "Asmongold's" controversial opinions on Samantha "Rivers" winning the Streamer of the Year award at the Esports Awards 2024. For those out of the loop, during a recent livestream, Asmongold stated that Rivers won the highly prestigious title because of her gender.

While claiming to be "salty" because the Mexican content creator was a "diversity pick" at the awards ceremony, the co-founder of One True King (OTK) remarked:

"I'm salty that it was obviously a diversity pick because she's a woman and everybody knows it. It should have been Speed or Kai, or CaseOh, or, like, three other people. Everybody knows it. It's f**king obnoxious! Or Ibai. You put her up there because she's a female. It's embarrassing and it's patronising! It's not even a top female streamer, either. It's bulls**t! It's not even close!"

On August 27, 2024, xQc commented on Asmongold's clip posted on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit. The French-Canadian personality called out the streamer by asking "where the loud voice was" when YouTube Gaming star Rachell "Valkyrae" won the Streamer of the Year award:

"Guys, you know, I just realized. I just clicked. Guys, holy f**k! You know, this thread with Asmongold, right? Listen, I'm not trying to hate too much, okay? But where was this loud voice when Valkyrae won?"

A few moments later, xQc's attention was drawn to a viewer, who stated that Valkyrae deserved the accolade. He responded:

"They played the meta that we built! We built that meta! We did it more in better, bigger numbers, and we achieved bigger heights. Yet, we were snubbed. Weird."

xQc isn't the only popular streamer who has commented on Asmongold's recent opinions. Twitch star Squeex has also weighed in on the situation, claiming that the 34-year-old's reaction to Rivers winning the Streamer of the Year award at the Esports Awards 2024 was the "funniest Western take":

"Do you know what you are implying on accident? You are accidentally implying that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, the Crown of Saudi, rigged it for diversity. Which is hilarious! Which is so f**king funny on accident. You are accusing a Saudi company of caring about diversity. It is the funniest most, like, Western take. Makes me laugh."
