IRL streamers DinomiteTwins were attending the Dominican Day parade in New York City, when they became the subject of physical assault by an individual attending the parade on August 11, 2024. Within a clip of the encounter, a man wearing sunglasses can be seen walking up to the content creators before seemingly assaulting them.

After the the sisters sternly called on the man to "get away," the displaced camera provided a view of the street once again. It soon panned to a man whose hand was bleeding profusely, with his car window supposedly being broken by the individual.

The streamers have since addressed the matter in a post on X, stating that they have "turned over" the video of the attack and are collaborating with the New York authorities. Netizens on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit have also reacted to the now viral clip, with some questioning the absence of authorities at the scene of the attack.

Talking about the lack of security coverage at the area of the attack in the parade, Reddit user u/Ok_Minimum6419 wrote:

"Where is the police?"

u/TrickyGoon remarked on the similarities between this parade and the fiasco involving Kai Cenat's giveaway in the city in 2023, which eventually led to a riot-like situation that caused the authorities to step in. The user wrote:

"Straight flashbacks of the time Kai's viewers went wild in NYC."

Giving some context to the clip, u/InstaCrate9 said that the alleged perpetrator of the attack, the individual wearing sunglasses, had jumped on the car and then got in a fight with the owner of the vehicle. The resultant broken window apparently left the owner with a bleeding hand, as shown in the clip:

"The dumba** in this video jumped on the old guy's car, old guy tried to get him off it, they got in a fight, the window of the car somehow got broken, the old guy's hand was bleeding. That's it."

What happened at the Dominican Day Parade in New York City?

As per a report by the New York post, the police had to eventually step in during the Dominican Day Parade after sections of the crowd turned violent. A 65-year old man was also the victim of an attack by a 16-year-old attendee, with the former being slashed across the face and hand.

A knife was reportedly recovered at the scene of the attack. The attacker was eventually arrested by the authorities. During the parade, the crowd started jumping over barricades set up by the police. Thus, citing the noncompliance of the crowd, the parade was subsequently shut down by the New York police.

IRL streaming can sometimes result in dangerous encounters, as was showcased during a recent incident involving Twitch creator Kai Cenat, who had his car door forcefully slammed on his leg by a bystander, leaving him screaming in pain.
