YouTuber and political commentator Blaire White has made a post on X following the assassination attempt on former United States President Donald Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Donald Trump's ear was grazed by a bullet, which was fired by an individual atop a building near the rally. The presidential candidate could be seen getting escorted to safety by the Secret Service agents while having blood smeared across his face.
Blaire White is a self-described center-right-leaning in her political ideologies. Her YouTube channel is known for its content that involves her giving opinions and discussing current political affairs.
In her post made on X on July 14, 2024, the YouTuber used the homophobic F-slur while describing those who bring up January 6, 2021, which is known as the day of the attack on the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. It was attacked by supporters of then-president Donald Trump, months after his defeat in the 2020 presidential elections.
She wrote:
"I don't want to hear you fa***ts mention January 6th ever again."
Political YouTuber Blaire White's career and political ideology explored
Blaire White started her YouTube career in 2015, following her coming out as transgender and starting hormone therapy while she was 20 years old. She has previously stated that from the age of 16 to around 20, she held left-leaning political beliefs and was a "social justice warrior".
However, after starting college and YouTube content creation, her opinions changed drastically as she began to realize the concept of "personal responsibility," which she believed was contradictory to her left-leaning stance at the time.
The creator currently has two channels on YouTube, the first being her main channel, Blaire White, and the second being The Blaire White Project, which is where she covers her podcast episodes. Her main YouTube channel holds over 1.45 million subscribers, while her second channel has 649,000 subscribers.
She is widely regarded as one of the most prominent transgender women on the right side of the political spectrum, with many putting her in the ranks with Republican party member Caitlyn Jenner.
The internet is rife with discussion regarding the assassination attempt on the former United States president. Talking about the security detail of Donald Trump on X, Jake Paul stated that he felt the security coverage to be "compromised" and that there were many "red flags" surrounding the incident. He also endorsed Trump in another post on X.
