Controversial internet personality Nico "Sneako" has been unbanned from YouTube. For those unaware, Sneako's official YouTube channel was permanently banned in 2022, and there was a lot of speculation surrounding his suspension. However, earlier this year, when the former Rumble streamer became embroiled in a feud with Hasan "HasanAbi," Sneako revealed that he got banned from the Google-owned platform for spreading misinformation about COVID-19 and elections.
In response to HasanAbi's speculations that his YouTube channel got terminated because he made rape threats against individuals, the New Yorker claimed:
"I got banned because of election misinformation, and I got banned because of COVID misinformation. Dumba*s! You're on the biggest platform in the world and all you do is spread lies and spread bulls**t. If you keep lying about this, bro... a lot of people will take that to the next level."
On October 20, 2024, reports surfaced on X indicating that the content creator's YouTube channel had been reinstated, prompting hundreds of netizens to weigh in on the situation. For instance, X user @BigSteppaNews called Sneako a "misogynist" and remarked:
"Who even watches this misogynist? I've never met someone who likes this guy...," said X user @BigSteppaNews.
Another community member believed that the streamer "should get banned again":
"Why did they unban him, bro should get banned again," commented X user @yorboitom.
X user @sicksuzuki wondered how the 26-year-old was able to get unbanned from multiple platforms within a month:
"How did he get unbanned from every platform in a month?" wrote X user @sicksuzuki.
However, not all reactions were critical of the situation, as X user @DSamdiaz631 wrote:
"Good for him, this is great," said X user @DSamdiaz631.
"S**t that Sneako says is not tolerated on Twitch" - xQc gives his take on the controversial personality's Twitch and YouTube channel getting reinstated
Earlier today (October 20, 2024), Twitch and Kick star Felix "xQc" also reacted to Sneako's YouTube channel getting unbanned. While claiming that the latter's comments are "not tolerated on Twitch," xQc called out the Amazon-owned platform, saying:
"It's not about Sneako. It's about Twitch. Okay? The reality is that Twitch says they're holding people off-platform activities accountable. But what they do not on their own stream, okay? And the s**t that Sneako says is not tolerated on Twitch. Legitimately. In fact, he's unbanned. Which means he would be doing fantastic behavior-wise, and his exemplary behavior.
The former Overwatch pro went on to say that Sneako was unbanned despite saying "insane s**t" during his live streams:
"The fact that he gets unbanned while going on some insane s**t that he says on his stream, come on, bro."
Sneako went viral on October 1, 2024, after claiming that he intended to "retire from streaming" after his Rumble contract expired.
