Was Brett Cooper fired from The Daily Wire? Online personality refutes rumors in her announcement

Brett Cooper, known for hosting one of The Daily Wire's podcasts, has confirmed her departure from the media company after rumors suggested the same. The conservative political commentator has been at the helm of The Comments Section for three years.

On December 10, 2024, Cooper addressed rumors of her exit in a YouTube video, announcing that it was her final day at The Daily Wire. Speculation about her being fired from the media company had circulated on social media for several days. Brett Cooper denied these rumors, stating that she was leaving of her own accord.

In her final podcast episode, she described her experience as host of The Comments Section as "bittersweet":

"Hey guys, some of you have heard the rumors online and the rumors are mostly true. Today, December 10th will be my last day hosting The Comments Section and working for The Daily Wire. It is not true that I am being forced out. It was my own choice to leave and believe me this is bittersweet."

Brett Cooper started working at The Daily Wire as the host of the podcast, The Comments Section, in January 2022. Since then, the podcast's YouTube channel has grown significantly, nearing 4.5 million subscribers.

Born in Washington and raised in Tennessee, Cooper attended UCLA, where she majored in English Literature. She has also pursued a career in acting, including an uncredited role in the 2012 film, Parental Guidance. As a conservative commentator, she has written for PragerU and Turning Point USA.

In her farewell video, Cooper expressed gratitude to her supporters and The Daily Wire for providing her with a platform to share her views. She also praised her viewers, stating that they had made her "braver":

"I have had the most unbelievable three years helping to craft the show, building this community, and telling stories, and sharing the truth every day through The Comments Section. You all have made me braver, more articulate, more thoughtful, more hopeful than I could have ever imagined and I'm grateful that we spent this time together."

After thanking The Daily Wire, Cooper explained that she has decided to pursue new challenges at this stage of her career. While the individual did not specify her plans, she said she would "share" them soon:

"I'm grateful that the Daily Wire gave us a platform to grow this community, but at this point in my life, I am ready to take on a new direction, both personally and professionally. This means new challenges and new Endeavors which I will share with you soon."

Brett Cooper's The Comments Section has played a key role in engaging the younger generation for The Daily Wire. With her departure, the YouTube podcast will now be hosted by her producer, Reagan Rohrbach.
