Controversial VTuber Fefe, also known as CovfefeChan, has called out Twitch for not explaining why she keeps getting suspended. Known for using risque virtual avatars, the content creator made a post tagging the Amazon-owned streaming platform and its CEO Dan Clancy on X demanding an explanation.
Noting that she was banned for the seventh time from Twitch on August 27, Fefe claimed she has been asking the platform for the reason behind her suspensions through various sources, including her lawyers. A relevant portion of the VTuber's post on X insinuates that Twitch has been "constantly attacking her" by not explaining the bans:
"WTF do you have against ME!? I love streaming on twitch! I do my best to follow TOS! Many streamers don’t! Why are you constantly attacking me???"
"My lawyers have messaged you": VTuber Fefe got her lawyers involved after claiming Twitch failed to adequately communicate reason for her ban
Fefe is a partnered streamer on Twitch and has over 180K followers on the platform. According to Twitch Tracker, she started streaming on the channel in 2019 and has amassed quite the following since then, averaging 1.8K concurrent viewers last month.
The VTuber's most streamed category is Music, but as mentioned, her racier virtual avatars over the years seem to have caused quite some controversy. After her most recent ban, many speculated whether her content violated the nudity and sexual content guidelines:
"Definitely think it's for nudity/cleavage vtuber models have to follow regular guidelines", claimed X user @Foxpupkenzie420
The streamer, however, flatly refused this line of argument:
"It's not", refuted Fefe
Her channel has been suspended several times during her career and in her original post, the VTuber noted that she has been desperately trying to troubleshoot the issue and even got legal representatives to look into the matter:
"OK @Twitch & @djclancy999 we need to talk about this, this my SEVENTH ban! Last time you indefinitely banned me. I have messaged you, my talent management messaged you, MY LAWYERS HAVE MESSAGED YOU asking WHY I KEEP GETTING BANNED!!?? Your response was “sorry we can’t tell you” WTF!?"
Fefe has claimed that Twitch refused to assign her a partner manager which could streamline the process of dealing with such suspensions:
"I requested a twitch partner manager, you told me “sorry your channel isn’t popular enough to be our priority”."
Regardless, it seems that hours after the post by Fefe complaining about the lack of communication from Twitch's side went viral on X, the platform rescinded the VTuber's ban.
