Twitch and Kick streamer Felix "xQc" has voiced his criticisms of FaZe Clan's rebrand. During a livestream on January 1, 2024, the former Overwatch pro came across the professional esports organization's tweet on the same day, announcing a revamp to their branding, including a new logo.
Describing FaZe Clan's rebrand as "corny," xQc remarked:
"FaZe rebrand... corny. (The streamer views the organization's new logo) What?! Brother, I've got to be honest with you, this looks like Ratchet & Clank or some s**t. Guys, this looks like a wrench. This is like a wrench that you buy out to f**king repair a car or something. Yeah, I don't know. Guys, am I wrong? It looks like of like a wrench, no? Guys, I see this, I see a wrench."
He then commented on the color schemes that the organization used for its rebranding.
"RGB (red, green, and blue). What?! Oh, get out! Get out. Okay, get them out of here. All right, next up."
Here's what fans had to say about xQc's opinions:
"Damn, xQc really might just be in his hater era," X user @omarhustla commented.
"He's always trying too hard to be based & just comes across as negative," X user @Mizzy wrote.
"Am I the only one who feels like it doesn't look any different?" X user @Xander_myers_ said.
"xQc is actually hating on absolutely anything and everything right now it literally looks exactly the same why is he hating so much," X user @VanessaSimplyyy remarked.
"xQc's first good take in 2025," X user @fanocsgo tweeted.
"It was important to do something like this" - FaZe Banks speaks on FaZe Clan's rebrand
On January 1, 2024, Richard "FaZe Banks" posted a nine-minute-long video on X to explain the FaZe Clan's rebrand. Claiming that this was the first time the organization's logo had been changed, FaZe Banks expressed his admiration for FaZe Clan's "new look":
"It's the first time in FaZe's history that we're changing the logo or making any sort of changes to the logo. The old logo had sharp edges, and we're simply smoothing them out. We like the subtle change, light change. Obviously, we're in a new era of FaZe, FaZe's story, and FaZe's history. I think it was important to do something like this. I also prefer the new look. Just smoother and calmer."
In other news, FaZe Clan member Maxwell "Plaqueboymax" recently announced that he intends to stream every day of the year in 2025.
