Twitch and Kick streamer Felix "xQc" has made serious claims about G2 Esports' AWPer Ilya "m0NESY." During a livestream on July 21, 2024, xQc watched the Counter-Strike 2 Esports World Cup Grand Final 2024 between G2 Esports and NaVi.
At the two-hour mark of the broadcast, the former Overwatch pro reviewed a moment from the competitive series, during which the two teams played on the Ancient CS2 map. The video showed round 18 of 24, during which G2 was one point ahead of NaVi (G2 9, NaVi 8).
xQc discussed a specific incident, in which G2 m0NESY sniped NaVi Justinas "jL" on a staircase near the B bombsite. The French-Canadian personality noticed a small hole in the staircase, which he believed revealed jL's position during the competitive match.

Wondering if the glitch "still worked" in Counter-Strike 2, the Quebec native remarked:
"It still works? Holy s**t! But that works against him because he was locked in, he didn't... guys, we were wondering why he peeked so late and why he moved so weirdly at the top because he was locked on the pixel, he wasn't ready for the shot at the top! Because he (m0NESY) thought he (jL) was going to walk through slowly. Look!"
xQc then replayed the video in which m0NESY sniped jL in slow motion. According to him, the color of the pixel inside the small hole mentioned above changed as jL moved:
