Twitch and Kick star Felix "xQc" has commented on not being nominated in any categories at The Streamer Awards 2024. On November 12, 2024, the French-Canadian content creator's messages, which were posted in his Twitch chat, surfaced on social media.
In the chat logs, xQc claimed the award ceremony hosted by Blaire "QTCinderella" requires streamers to "beg for subs and money" while "running the most ads per hour" in order to be nominated.
Writing that he "lost" and "fell off," he remarked:
"I'm here. Damn, I'm cooked today. Holy fk. Gotta beg for subs and beg for money while running the most ads per hour to be nominated, I lost, fell off, + L."
xQc votes for Adin Ross x Donald Trump for the Best Streamed Collab category, names IShowSpeed as the Streamer of the Year 2024
During a Twitch livestream earlier today (November 12, 2024), xQc cast his votes for the 27 nominations categories for The Streamer Awards 2024. When asked to vote in the Best Streamed Collab category, the former Overwatch pro chose Kick streamer Adin Ross' collaboration with Donald Trump.
xQc noticed that his live audience was wondering why he chose Adin Ross' collaboration with Trump over Kai Cenat's collaboration with Kevin Hart. In response, the Quebec native said:
"Oh, definitely Donald Trump! The f**k? I mean, are you kidding me? Wait, Best Streamed Collab, so you guys are debating Kevin Hart over Donald Trump? That's braindead. That's braindead because you guys are not reading the category. Like, this is why I don't like doing these awards on stream, right, because people have such bad reading comprehension. It's insane!"
xQc eventually had to vote on the flagship category, Streamer of the Year, and chose Darren "IShowSpeed." Explaining why he opted for the 19-year-old, the content creator stated:
"It's close, but I might just give it to Speed. Chat, I might give it to Speed just because I just feel his adaptability as a streamer... just felt more, like... how do you say this? More streamer. Does that make sense? In a general sense of entertainment, I think Kai might actually win this. But, since this is a streamer award, I think IShowSpeed."
xQc made headlines on November 10, 2024, when he commented on the "double standards" that, according to him, are prevalent in the livestreaming community.
