During a Twitch stream on June 26, 2024, Felix "xQc" sternly responded to a viewer who asked him why he had "excused" Drake and not Herschel "Guy," aka "Dr DisRespect," in light of recent controversy. While reacting to posts on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit, Felix received a donation message from a viewer named "DDOGJEROME," who wrote:
"What Doc did is horrible, no excuse. But why did you excuse Drake?"
xQc let out a heavy sigh after hearing the message, claiming that there was a "very important" word that people needed to understand amidst the controversy. He elaborated:
"Okay, ready for it? There's a word that's very, very important on this, and you know what it's called? It's called, 'Inappropriate.' Inappropriate. Inappropriate! That's the most important thing. Do you know that adults interact with minors on a daily basis without being inappropriate? Do you know?"
According to xQc, Millie Bobby Brown has "said multiple times" that her interaction with Drake was "not inappropriate":
"This Millie Bobby Brown person, the actress, has gone on and said multiple times that it was not inappropriate. Like, there was no lawsuit or settlement, or whatever. There's just none of this!"
The former Overwatch pro slammed the viewer, saying they were "making ideas" in their heads. He remarked:
"It's just you making ideas in your f**king head. Like, 'Dude, this has got to be inappropriate. It has to be because I want this to be!' And the person said, multiple times, that it was not! What about it? I'm confused."
xQc further stated that his followers' behavior was "odd":
"Chat is making s**t up, it's just odd. I'm not going to even... it's just odd. I think it's just odd. I'm over it."
xQc reportedly unfollows Dr DisRespect after YouTube streamer reveals reason for his Twitch ban
On June 26, 2024, reports surfaced on X, stating that xQc had unfollowed Dr DisRespect on the social media platform after the latter revealed the reason for his Twitch ban. In a detailed post, the 42-year-old admitted that he interacted with a minor through Twitch Whispers in 2017, but claimed that "nothing illegal happened."
Dr DisRespect wrote:
"Were there Twitch Whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed, I never even met the individual."
Earlier today, X user @iqkev reported that xQc had unfollowed Dr DisRespect. They tweeted:
Felix isn't the only streamer who has unfollowed Dr DisRespect following his address. Two-time Streamer of the Year award winner Kai Cenat unfollowed The Doc during his Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree marathon stream on June 25, 2024.
