Twitch star Kai Cenat and YouTuber Darren "IShowSpeed" seem to be at their wit's end as their Hardcore Minecraft Marathon crossed the 40-hour mark. Cenat's twentieth death in the game came after he tried to traverse through the lava in the Nether using a boat, which unsurprisingly got destroyed immediately upon contact with a pool of fiery liquid.
Expressing his frustration after the failure of his impromptu experiment, Kai Cenat decided to allow IShowSpeed to give up on the marathon and let him carry on alone. Talking to IShowSpeed, he said:
"I'll give you the pass, bro. I'll do this sh**. I'll sit here and I'll do this f**king sh**... You deserve to be free."
Kai Cenat offers IShowSpeed to pull out of Hardcore Minecraft broadcast after streaming for over 40 hours
Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed have been trying to finish the entirety of Minecraft in one non-stop broadcast. The pair decided to attempt to finish the game in the Hardcore mode, which means that once a player dies in-game, they can only spectate. If both parties die, their entire Minecraft world resets, and they respawn in a fresh new one.
The two came quite close to finishing the game as well, making it all the way to The End, which is the concluding section of the game. Within it, the pair went up against the game's final boss, the Ender Dragon. However, Kai Cenat could not withstand the boss enemy's attacks and perished first. IShowSpeed followed suit soon after, leading the pair to restart again, resetting 13 hours of progress.
While suggesting to IShowSpeed that he should try to finish the game alone, Cenat grew visibly more aggravated, exclaiming:
"That was by far the dumbest sh** that happened in my life... The dumbest sh** I ever f**king did in my f**king life!"
Despite his offer, IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat continued to initiate more attempts together, and are still attempting to finish the game as originally intended.
Kai Cenat was recently involved in a feud with fellow content creator FaZe Rani "Stable Ronaldo." This happened after the latter used an edited version of the promotional poster for IShowSpeed and Cenat's Minecraft stream to promote his own collaborative Minecraft broadcast with fellow FaZe member Nick "Lacy." Stable Ronaldo claimed that Cenat had sent him a "cease-and-desist" notice.
