Charleston White is a controversial figure known for his outspoken and often provocative commentary on social issues, gang culture, and criminal justice reform. He initially gained attention through YouTube and social media, where he shared stories from his past as a former gang member and inmate. He often advocates against gang violence and encourages the youth to avoid criminal lifestyles.

White has become culturally relevant for his sometimes outrageous statements on current happenings in hip-hop culture and associated industry news. Recently, he commented on Chicago rapper Lil Durk's arrest on October 24, 2024.

In the clip above, Charleston White goes on a small rant about how people are treating Lil Durk's situation differently as compared to when he himself went to jail. Towards the end of the clip, he suggested the incident is an outcome of Lil Durk's previous instances of violence and gang involvement:

"They say karma is real, I say it ain't real, I say you reap what you sow, they say it's karma."

Charleston White speculates what jail would look like for Lil Durk

Rapper Lil Durk, born Durk Derrick Banks, was arrested on October 24, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on charges of orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot. The charges relate to the August 2022 shooting of rapper Quando Rondo, which resulted in the death of Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson. As a result of the case, the rapper might be facing severe consequences, including life in prison.

Charleston White speculated that Lil Durk might be in danger while locked up, claiming that certain gangs would try and extort him, purely because he's a wealthy rapper:

"They gon' try to extort him, they know he got money. He might need to pay for a little protection."

Regardless, White mentioned that Durk "might" be alright, claiming the rapper could potentially find solace and safety amongst those with the same religious beliefs.

"You know what, he might be alright, cuz' he joined Assalamualaikum. One thing about Assalamualaikum, they look out for each other."

Lil Durk is a devout Muslim and has been faithful to Islam ever since he was 16 years old.

The rapper's ninth studio album, "Deep Thoughts", is scheduled for release in November 2024. Given the current circumstances, the release may face delays, though no official statement has been made regarding any changes to the album's release date.

In other news, Charleston White has addressed those rejoicing over rumors of his death, with Adin Ross referring to him as a "hero".
