YouTuber Paul Harrell (58), also known for being a gun rights activist and firearms expert, tragically passed away on September 3, 2024, after battling Stage 2 pancreatic cancer. The news of his tragic demise came directly from his channel (1.13 million subscribers) where his brother posted a video where Paul (recorded in December 2023) shared some final words with his fan base.

Harrell revealed that the cancer had spread to his bones, subsequently weakening them and causing a fracture. He also requested his Patreon members to continue their support for the channel, as his brother and crew plan to continue creating content.

YouTuber Paul Harrell's final words to his fans

On September 3, 2024, YouTuber Paul Harrell's brother provided an update, stating that Paul's condition had worsened, expecting the worst. Today (September 4), a new video titled I'm Dead was uploaded to Harrell's YouTube channel, where the YouTuber posthumously addressed his fans.

"I'm recording this and giving Brad instructions to publish it upon my death. So if you're watching me I'm dead."

Paul Harrell spoke about his cancer, stating how it had spread to his bones, causing a hip fracture.

"You may have seen me recently using this crutch when I told you I broke my hip. Well, I did break my hip but it wasn't because I was in any kind of accident. It was because the cancer spread to my bones and the bones just crumbled. My hip fractured and I fell down."

Speaking on the future of his channel, he requested his Patreon supporters to stay by the channel, as his brother and other crew members plan to keep the channel alive:

"For everyone who is a Patreon supporter, thank you. But don't immediately turn off your Patreon support. We have hopes that a couple of the crew, primarily my brother, are going to continue making content on this channel."

Paul Harrell expressed gratitude to his supporters, viewers, and Patreon members for standing by him.

"To everyone who has watched, hit the like or dislike icon, commented, shared, subscribed and donated on Patreon, thank you. All of those things support the channel greatly and I can't even begin to articulate how beneficial and appreciated those things are."

Toward the end of the video, Brad Nelson, the channel's production manager, mentioned that they needed some time off to process Paul's death. However, he also stated that they plan to create content involving firearms in the future.
