YouTuber and musician Andrés "Yung Filly" has picked up fresh charges during his time on bail in Australia, after having been charged with rape and sexual assault. For those unaware, the British rapper was arrested in Brisbane after he allegedly assaulted a woman in a hotel room in Perth following a show he hosted on September 28, 2024.
Reportedly, Yung Filly has now been charged with reckless driving, with him supposedly driving past a speed camera at 158 kilometers per hour (or 98 miles per hour) on a highway in Perth. The authorities reported that this incident took place on November 17, 2024.
Yung Filly faces fresh charges of reckless driving while on bail in Australia after being accused of sexual assault
Yung Filly made headlines in October 2024 upon being accused of assaulting a woman while on tour in Australia. Following his arrest by Australian authorities, he was eventually given bail under special conditions. Labeled a "flight risk" by prosecutors, Yung Filly has been prohibited from leaving the region of Western Australia as part of the prerequisites for bail.
He is also not allowed to discuss the case on social media or contact the alleged victim, and had to put in an AU$ 100,000 (US$ 67,352) personal cash surety to obtain bail. Yung Filly's next court hearing is scheduled to take place on December 19, 2024.
As per the reports made by police, the speed limit in the area he was driving in is 100 kilometers per hour. However, the rapper had apparently been going 58 kilometers per hour (which is approximately 36 miles per hour) over the speed limit of the highway. These new charges resulted in his car being impounded by authorities.
Yung Filly has been known to often collaborate with content creator Amin "Chunkz", appearing in various videos and podcasts together. However, Chunkz has been silent for the most part after Yung Filly's arrest. Recently, Chunkz finally addressed the situation and stated that he cannot publicly comment on the matter since it is an ongoing legal case.
