Internet personality, YouTuber, and musician, Felipe "Yung Filly," has had a tumultuous 2024. His career took a nose dive in September after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman in a Perth hotel room. The case led to eight charges, including sexual penetration without consent, assault occasioning bodily harm, and choking. Now, Filly had admitted to another offense on top of all this, reckless driving.

While on bail for these allegations, Yung Filly was caught driving at 158 km/h (98 mph) in a 100 km/h (62 mph) zone on a Perth highway in November. He has pleaded guilty to this reckless driving charge and his car has been impounded. The court has scheduled a hearing for both the sexual assault charges and the driving offense on January 30, 2025.

Yung Filly currently resides in Australia and has found himself a house, while he awaits a verdict on his trial. This arrangement is primarily because he is barred from leaving Western Australia for over two years. Additionally, he is banned from discussing the case online. As part of his bail conditions, the YouTuber is required to make regular check-ins at the police station.

The added trouble of the speeding offense has proven costly for Felipe, as he could face up to nine months in prison, a fine of 6,000 Australian dollars (approximately $3,750), and a minimum six-month driving ban.

Since the hotel room incident, Yung Filly's reputation on the internet seems to have changed. The Sidemen, one of Britain's most popular YouTube groups has removed Filly's guest appearances from their channel. Notably, his close collaborator, Chunkz, has refrained from commenting on the situation, likely due to the ongoing legal proceedings.

Additionally, multiple brands and organizations have severed ties with him. FootAsylum, known for their YouTube series "Does the Shoe Fit?", suspended their contract, while Heinz, ASOS, German Doner Kebab, and Gymshark removed all promotional content featuring him.

The Football Association canceled an online cookery series that was to feature Yung Filly alongside England footballers, and a live performance of "The Chunkz and Filly Show" podcast was also canceled.

In other news, tech YouTube giant, Marques "MKBHD" Brownlee, was recently criticized for speeding in a school zone while showcasing an action camera in a review video.
