Twitch Streamer Kai Cenat conducted a basketball draft in his September 27 stream, for the Little Ballers League, a fictional circuit Cenat created as part of a streaming event. A draft is about sports teams bidding on players and recruiting or drafting them as "picks." These would also be ranked, with the valuable first position being the most sought-after for athletes.
Kai's parody presented a more comical version of a traditional draft, like in the National Basketball Association. The streamer himself participated in the event, along with interesting characters posed as prospects to play "professional" basketball. The event saw the likes of deliverymen and astronauts contesting for a spot to be drafted.

5) Kai Cenat's Uber Eats deliveryman gets recruited in the draft
During the event, Kai decided to order some food. When the deliveryman, Emmanuel Salisu, showed up for the order, he was selected as the eleventh overall pick in the draft.
Kai Cenat threw away his food in rage, considering he hadn't been recruited as a player in his own draft event yet. Emmanuel was surprised and walked up on stage to give his acceptance speech, which he started by saying:
"Oh my god, I don't know what is happening but this is the greatest day of my life."
The draft reporters, commenting on this said:
"I'm starting to feel bad for Kai, this night keeps getting worse and worse worse." (Timestamp - 43:49)
4) Cenat's mother gets drafted before him
In a twist of events, the streamer's mother "Mama Cenat" was recruited before him, as the fifteenth-overall pick. Kai was baffled at this and looked at his mother with shock as this transpired. Mama Cenat, slyly smiled as she stood up to accept the award, and in her acceptance speech, she said:
"I know everybody was expecting my son to get picked, but I'm sorry Kai!.. It's my turn...Screw him!" (Timestamp - 57:05)
Kai dejectedly clapped as he watched his mother finish her speech after getting recruited into the "Dallas Giants."
3) Stephen A Smith trolled Kai Cenat for not getting drafted third

Throughout the draft's build-up, the streamer consistently confidently claimed that he would undoubtedly come in as the third overall pick in the draft. Unfortunately, much to the event viewers' surprise, he was snubbed by Jacobi Jeffries, a child, for the "Atlanta Mountains."
Stephen A. Smith, a prominent American sports commentator, television personality, and journalist known for his passionate and outspoken style, had some strong words on Kai not getting drafted at number three:
"You thought you was going to be number three... you think you got a little handle, you think you can get to the hole any time you want to, but it's about how you finish not how you start my brother... you weren't number three like you said you were going to be, like everybody was saying you were going to be."
2) An infant gets drafted before Cenat
About 33 minutes into the stream, an "unborn" baby was revealed to be a top prospect in the draft and would compete against Kai. The baby was born thirteen minutes later, right after Roger Richards, who appeared to be a criminal on the run, was announced to be the twelfth overall pick.
After this, the announcer introduced the infant, Da'shawn Levitz, as number thirteen in the draft.
Kai sat looking dissociated, contemplating the plight of his situation, considering a baby was recruited ahead of him. Commenting on the situation, the reporters said:
"This kid doesn't even know how to use the bathroom and got drafted over Kai." (Timestamp - 48:14)

Finally, as the twenty-fourth and last pick, Kai was selected to be a part of the "New York Sky" fictional basketball team. Overjoyed at finally being drafted, the streamer jumped out of his chair, took off his jacket, stumbled and fell over a table, and taunted a nearby child recruit.
Expressing his pent-up frustration, Kai gave a heated acceptance speech:
"How y'all doing today? I don't give a f**k... y'all laughed the whole time I wasn't drafted, Jacobi Jeffries, f**ck you and your family. Y'all gotta see me on the court regardless! Tomorrow night, see me on the court! F**k all of you."
In the end, Kai announced that he'd be doing a match-day stream on his channel on September 28, 2024.
