YouTube top star Jimmy "MrBeast" is being associated with a new set of allegations, this time involving his upcoming Amazon Prime game show Beast Games. Accusations include neglect of participants' health, basic food and water supply, and unfairness during the Beast Games.

Multiple participants have allegedly come out with accusations regarding the games to Las Vegas reporting site Vitas Vegas and YouTuber Rosanna Pansino. This comes shortly after controversy enveloped now ex-Beast Crew member Ava Kris Tyson. This article explores the accusations in detail, including the alleged testimonial of one individual directly involved with the show itself.

Beast Games allegations explored in detail

MrBeast's Beast Games were originally announced on March 18, 2024, through a post made on X and were touted by him as "the largest game show in history". A couple of months later, on May 2, the American YouTuber shared the link to a website through which participants interested in the competition, which features a $5,000,000 prize, could sign up.

Now, with filming having gone underway, allegations of mismanagement and participants' health being neglected are pouring out. Within her YouTube video uploaded July 27, 2024, Rosanna Pansino claimed that she has allegedly received information from ten of the show's participants, both current and now-eliminated, some of whom she knows "personally". She shared one such participant's messages while promising to talk about others' accounts in the future.

Health concerns

Within the messages shared regarding the health concerns of the contestants, the informant alleged that they were offered "hush money," but refused to accept it. They claimed that individuals participating in the Beast Games were not being provided with medications on time, causing some to undergo seizures.

Further, the informant claimed that the Beast Games show was "100% rigged" as it was about "strength and speed," and thus provided the younger males an advantage over the women and the elderly participants. Due to their strength differences, the males allegedly targeted women by tackling and hitting them, leading a few women to "pass out" on the fields and then get "dragged off" so that filming could continue.

There were also severe injuries allegedly being sustained by participants as a result, including broken bones and stitches. The informant claimed that the nurses at a hospital in Las Vegas were also confirming the injuries that took place during the games, as they did not sign an NDA.

This is also corroborated by the report from Vital Vegas, which stated that a source in the Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas had received "countless patients" on July 19, 2024, which had arrived due to a "lack of food and water".

Furthermore, some participants also arrived at the games with contagious diseases like Conjunctivitis (pink eye) and COVID-19. Sleep deprivation was also prevalent, with participants sleeping only three to four hours.

Lack of provision of food, water, and other basic amenities

The messages sent by Rosanna Pansino's informant also stated that the participants were only being given around 400 calories per meal, and were fed in intervals of 12 hours. This meant that individuals only consumed 800 calories within a 24-hour time frame, as opposed to the healthy average calorie consumption level of 2,500 calories for a man and 2,000 for a woman.

The lack of sustenance was so allegedly prevalent, that individuals would have to resort to fighting, stealing, and hoarding food. This was also applicable to the water supply. The informant further alleged that other amenities like women's sanitary products were not available, and they had to utilize a blood-soaked pad for two whole days before they could gain access to new undergarments and reusable pads, as they were allergic to regular ones.

Unfair playing field for contestants

As per the informant, the male participants had taken advantage of their freedom to tackle to eliminate others and get them out during one segment of the games. Their claims also included a lack of safety protocols to go alongside such games to prevent injuries from taking place.

Lastly, they echoed that the games could have been similar to the actual Squid Game (from the Netflix show of the same name) — utilized games that were not "biased" or benefitted "young athletic men". This was also what the participants had expected while signing up for the Beast Games, with elderly individuals also getting a chance to take part in the show.

The allegations of overwork, neglect, and other health-related violations have been corroborated by the sources of the report by Vital Vegas. One specific incident within the show also involved the usage of over 2,000 trash bags, which has since been thoroughly criticized.
