Canadian rapper and part-time streamer Drake recently found himself in a controversial situation with FaZe Clan member and Twitch star Max "Plaqueboymax." The situation arose when Drake went live with Adin Ross and mentioned that he watched Plaqueboymax's stream. He was heard saying:

"I was watching like Plaqueboymax. I was watching him in a live studio session or some sh*t and I was like, 'Yo, Adin would troll me so hard for watching this.' I watched it for an hour."

Plaqueboymax reacted to the clip from Drake's stream and was not particularly pleased. He interpreted the rapper's tone as dismissive toward his content:

"One thing I will say and this is me keeping it talk - even though it was Drake, I don't like how he said sh*t. I don't f**k with that sh*t at all. How he said it. He was laughing, like, 'I was watching Plaqueboymax.' Like, what are you laughing at? I didn't f**k with that sh*t. Why would Adin troll you for watching me? This isn't a game or something."

"I talked to Drake for the first time" - Plaqueboymax reveals speaking with the rapper following recent controversy

New streaming-related drama has unfolded between Plaqueboymax and Drake. Despite the initial remarks and the FaZe Clan member's firm response, the situation hasn’t escalated into a serious conflict or beef.

During Plaqueboymax's stream on January 7, 2025, he shared that Drake followed him on social media after he "stood his ground":

"I said I appreciate the love and the fact that he is even tapping in is an honor. That means I'm doing something right. But I said that I didn't like how he dismissed me as if my sh*t is a game...I'm going to stand my ground as a man and stand up for what I believe in. And what happened? Drake followed me."

The streamer also mentioned that the two spoke for the first time but chose not to share the details of their conversation, citing privacy concerns:

"Yesterday because I stood my ground as a man, and this is a lesson to all of y'all, I talked to Drake for the first time. So shout out to Drake. Obviously, I'm not going to (leak the messages). That's a private conversation. We ain't talk, it was messages."

This isn’t the first time Drake's comments on a broadcast have provoked strong reactions from streamers. During the same session with Adin Ross, he made remarks about xQc’s girlfriend, AikoBliss. xQc later reacted to the clip, voicing his discontent with the musician’s comments.
