Controversial Kick streamer Yousef "Fousey" has recently faced a lot of criticism owing to his behavior, often labeled as having "manic episodes" by many. The streamer is currently banned on Kick (some reports even suggest that he may be permanently suspended) after making some wild comments live on stream.
This article will delve into the timeline of Fousey's recent controversies, his concerning statements, and why he got the ban from Kick.
Fousey's controversy: Exploring the timeline of events
October 30, 2024: Assaults ex-manager
During a stream in Australia on October 30, 2024, Fousey found himself having a verbal spat with his then-manager (which included a lot of homophobic slurs from Yousef's end). The reason behind the argument isn't quite clear, but Yousef was certainly upset about his manager's actions. As the manager was leaving the house, he ended up responding:
"S**k my f**king d**k!"
This angered the streamer, who charged towards his manager and was caught punching him live on stream. Watch the controversial clip here:
October 30, 2024: Gets temporary ban from Kick
Kick’s community guidelines prohibit violence. Shortly after the incident, Kick banned Fousey's channel. The streamer responded by claiming the ban wasn’t because of the "punch" but due to Kick's fear that he might "expose" issues within the industry:
"I don't think they banned me because of the punch. People in the industry know that if we don't ban him and keep him quiet right now, he's gonna expose all of us."
November 3, 2024: Says he plans to "shoot himself," banned again
Following the assault incident, Fousey was unbanned and resumed streaming for a while. This continued until November 3, when he made a controversial remark live on stream. A clip of him went viral, where he claimed he was planning self-harm:
"They know, if they f**k up, it makes me go bipolar. Look at my eyes! I'm going to shoot myself tonight live! Done!"
Like his assault incident, this too violated Kick's community guidelines, leading to another suspension of his account. Currently, it's unclear if the suspension is permanent. If it is, he risks losing the Kick deal he signed in October 2024.
November 3, 2024: Claims he's retiring from streaming
Following his ban, the streamer had an emotional outburst on social media. He took to his X.com account to post a video expressing his views, claiming that he plans to retire due to the ban and losing millions of dollars:
"We go live (talking about his latest livestream before the ban), there's no audio for 30 minutes. I fired him (The streamer's cameraman). Guess what else happened today? In my anger, I get banned. I just lost $100 million and said I would retire. Ladies and gentlemen of the internet, Fousey's (gone)."
He captioned this post by writing:
"I officially retire! Crown me before I'm dead! Legendary run! 14 years n***a! Time to smoke a joint and get my d**k sucked on the top of the boat!"
November 4, 2024: Fires his therapist, disowns his family
Fousey’s controversial rants continued the day after his ban. He first posted a screenshot on X.com, showing his therapist of two years leaving a group chat, and captioning it with a statement that he had fired her. He wrote:
"I FIRED MY THERAPIST WHO HAS SPOKEN TO ME DAILY FOR 2 YEARS. LAST NIGHT WHEN I NEEDED HER MOST INSTEAD OF BEING THERE FOR ME SHE LEFT THE GC. SHE LISTENED TO MY EX-MANAGER WHO TOLD HER I’M UNWELL."
He also posted a video of himself speaking to his father, telling him they would never see him again. In the video, he revealed (while speaking to his father) that his family had called him last year, during his hospitalization, to inform him that they were disowning him:
"I am just calling to tell you, that you guys will never see me again. Last year when I crashed out and I was in the hospital, instead of checking on me, Mohammad (Fousey's brother) texted me to say, 'Yousef just letting you know, me and mama are disowning you as a family member. You're on your own.'"
He added:
"You are never going to see me again baba. You can call me every day."
November 4, 2024: Fousey responds to "r*pe" allegations
The streamer posted on X.com, claiming that "an ex-manager" had contacted his company, accusing him of r*ping a girl the previous night (November 3). He stated that he had spoken to the alleged victim, who confirmed that the encounter was consensual:
"An ex-manager texted my company today saying I r*ped a girl last night. Just got off (the) phone with her. She was flabbergasted and said she had the best sex and asked if I needed to be picked up as I'm alone."
November 4, 2024: Detained by the Australian police
Later that day, the streamer posted another video on his X.com account, claiming he had been detained by police officers (though not arrested). In the video, he suggested that the detention might have been due to a "prank call" or doxxing. He said:
"Nobody from my team has texted me or come to see me yet. I have no manager, no therapist, no lawyer, no nothing. The cops are right here, a third one right there, and they detained me. They haven't arrested me yet. I said legally, I am allowed to post a video. And I said, 'You guys are wasting police resources and money by coming at out every single time you get a prank call about me.'"
November 4, 2024: Talks about Andrew Tate, Adin Ross and more
Fousey also went live on his X.com account, making a controversial statement disparaging Kick CEO Eddie Craven. He called Craven out for spending hundreds of millions on creators who stream gambling and "sip lean," indirectly referring to Adin Ross. He said:
"You're in the Kick headquarters with the f**ks you are paying hundreds of millions of dollars a year for, to sit on their computer to click the mouse and gamble. They stream two days a week, they f**k pr*stitutes, they do cocaine and sip lean and they have no talent."
Fousey further claimed that Kick pays N3on $8 million a month. Later, he shared this live session on his X.com account, addressing Andrew Tate, and expressing his interest in becoming his understudy. He wrote:
"I’m willing to fly to Romania, 1 bag, no phone and be your understudy for 3 months. I’ll be the maid, butler, babysitter, cigar cutter WHATEVER u need. Just please don’t make me hang around people like Sneako or Neon anymore."
Fousey is free to stream on Twitch (his account is still up). However, it's unclear what the future holds for the creator, now that he has claimed he is retired.
