What was IShowSpeed's viral 'lip challenge' that went wrong?

As mentioned, IShowSpeed is no stranger to pulling off viral stunts. The streamer has a history of such antics on his streams. During a broadcast on September 7, 2022, Speed decided to attempt a viral TikTok lip challenge, also known as the Kylie lip challenge.

The challenge involves using a glass or suction cup to create an airlock around the lips. Keeping it in place for a few minutes causes the lips to swell, resulting in a fuller appearance.

However, like his other antics, IShowSpeed took things a step further by keeping the suction cup on his lips for 15 minutes, which exceeds the recommended duration.

As a result, Speed ended up with extremely swollen lips, much larger than the challenge intended to achieve. This raised concerns, as there was a risk that the blood vessels around the lip area could potentially burst.
