Stake-backed live streaming platform Kick has brought in a rather unique feature for its users to engage in. The platform has introduced "Kick Bounties" (or simply "Bounties") that allows users to earn rewards. Kick's official X Community updates page posted the news of this update earlier today (July 11, 2024). Here's what the official post read:

"Welcome to Kick Bounties. Complete bounties to earn rewards. Bounties will vary by difficulty and category. Successful bounty hunters will be immortalized in the hall of fame."

A more elaborate explanation of this update is available on the Kick Community website. According to the official description, the Kick Bounty feature will have certain challenges (such as finding a certain location in a game).

Those who complete it have to post the clip link (along with the VOD being available for later inspection). The first one to do so will be declared the winner of the Bounty and will be rewarded with 50 subscriptions.

Read the description here:

"Complete these bounties to earn rewards. Be the first to post a valid Kick clip in response to the linked X (Twitter) post to claim the reward."

Various bounties will reward users, as the description goes on to add:

"Bounties will vary in difficulty and category, ensuring there's something for everyone. Rewards are proportional to the challenge. Unclaimed bounty rewards will increase over time."

Additionally, bounty hunters stand a chance to have their names displayed in the Kick Bounties Hall of Fame. The description reads:

"Successful bounty hunters will earn rewards and have their names displayed in the Kick Bounties Hall of Fame. Become a part of Kick history. Showcase your skills. Be celebrated within the Kick community."

What are the rules of the new Kick Bounty feature?

The Kick Bounty game has certain rules. For instance, users cannot use any mods or exploit glitches. Here is the set of rules that participants have to keep in mind while engaging in the bounty hunt:

Global Rules:

  • The clip must be submitted by replying to the linked KickCommunity X (Twitter) post.
  • The first clip by reply timestamp will claim the bounty reward (unless specified otherwise).
  • A public, accessible VOD is required in addition to clip submission.
  • In the case of an in-game bounty, gameplay must be your own.
  • No mods, glitches, or exploits (unless specified otherwise).
  • Any attempt at foul play will result in disqualification - apply common sense.

Despite the controversy surrounding the platform, the Kick streaming platform never shies away from trying out new features. For instance, they recently introduced real-time VODs, allowing viewers to replay moments from a stream while it is live.
