Popular Minecraft content creator and Twitch streamer Will Gold, aka Wilbur Soot, faced several serious allegations that effectively exiled him from the internet. For those out of the loop, the allegations came from the streamer's former partner Shelby "Shubble" Grace in February 2024. Grace alleged that she was physically abused by Soot, who had left bite marks/bruises all over her arms.

Since then, Soot has come forward confirming these alleged actions but added that he had interpreted these actions as "consensual" and "playful." Following the controversy, the streamer has been away from his social media platforms.

Wilbur Soot currently touring Australia with Lovejoy

Despite his long hiatus, some updates have come forward in the past few days. Soot is also the lead vocalist of an indie band called Lovejoy. The band is currently touring Australia (starting August 28, 2024). After Australia, the band will tour the UK and end in the USA.

Has Wilbur Soot made any updates on his social media platforms?

Since the allegations emerged against Wilbur Soot, the Minecraft creator has largely avoided his social media accounts. His YouTube and Twitch channels have remained inactive. However, he did provide an update on June 2024 through his Instagram account.

In the video, he mentioned that he doesn't want to add anything new to his response on X (from February 27), stating:

"I'm back from my break, I just want to make this quick video to briefly talk about what the four of us at Lovejoy have planned for the rest of this year. But first, I wanted to mention some stuff that was said about me on the internet a couple of months ago, and if you haven't already seen, I responded back in February. That response is all I want to say on the matter for now."

This latest announcement was made in June before Lovejoy began their tour in Australia. The YouTuber also stated that they would release a new single.

"Going into Summer, we're going to be doing a tour of Australia. So, if you live in Australia, and you want to see Lovejoy play live, we really hope to see you there. In a couple of months, we'll be releasing our new single - I'll Agree When I'm Sober - which we've been working on for ages now."

Lovejoy was formed in 2021 and released their first EP Are You Alright? Aside from Wilbur Soot (vocals, guitar), the band consists of Joe Goldsmith (guitar, songwriting), Ash Kabosu (bass guitar), and Mark Boardman (drums, percussion).
