What is the recent controversy involving Froot, aka "LichVtuber"
Froot aka LichVtuber, a popular VTuber, took to her official X account on September 19, 2024, sharing a 90-page long document detailing a rather concerning side of her personal life and alleging how her ex-partner/ex-husband had abused her.
She revealed (Page 1) that when she was 19, she was abused by her "then-partner," saying:
"He would constantly degrade me, insult me, lie to me. I tried to leave him on numerous occasions, but he kept threatening to commit suicide and blame it on me."
On page 10, she also alleged that her partner pressured her into partaking in some form of sexual activity that she was not comfortable with:
"My ex was adamant about trying a form of sexual activity. I constantly said no. Even when he made jokes about it, I was still serious in saying no. He didn’t respect my decision."
On page 23, she also attached a screenshot of their text exchanges where the ex-partner threatened to harm themselves over any potential break-up. Here are the messages:
Another message (Page 26) from her ex allegedly revealed that he threatened to leave her if she chose not to have children with him, even hinting at the possibility of having an affair:
The VTuber also revealed (Page 30) that she had been diagnosed with dyslexia, which made it difficult for her to remember dates. Before being diagnosed, her ex would belittle her for forgetting important dates. She wrote:
"He would use words like, slow, stupid, r***rd, dumb. He claimed that I was just trying to find excuses and crutches for forgetting to do something for him."
She also alleged that he held strong opposing views on the LGBTQ community and discouraged her from watching anime that featured such themes. According to her (Page 44):
"He said that my engaging with lgbtq content threatened his career in the US Army."
She also alleged that her ex-partner had kicked her out of the house. She wrote (Page 75):
"He was mad at me so he kicked me out of his house. All I had were the clothes I was wearing and my phone. I couldn't drive, I was unfamiliar with the area, alone in another country, far away from home, while he was having a tantrum in his house."
It's worth noting that there is a strong suggestion within the online community that Froot may have cheated on her husband while he was away with the U.S. Army. However, the document itself does not contain any such confession.
It's worth noting that recently, Zack "Asmongold" commented on the controversy. Though the document itself doesn't contain any confession, the streamer suggested that Froot may have cheated on her husband.
